Wisdom & Sisterhood on Your Menopause Journey

WISE BLOOD COLLECTIVE

Reiki. Womb-Tending. Community.

Ancient and Indigenous traditions honored menopause as the time when menstrual blood transitions from flowing outward to nourish life and land, and turns inward to nourish the woman, becoming Wise Blood—a reservoir of inner power, purpose, and deep knowing. This embodied wisdom becomes a potent force for personal and collective transformation.

Through Reiki energy, womb tending, somatic regulation, brain activation techniques, and sharing in circle, we honor and support the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual transformation during this sacred rite of passage.

About the sessions:

For women experiencing peri to post-menopause and beyond, during this 90-minute experience, in-person or virtually, you will:

  • Receive Reiki. Reiki is an energy modality that works with the body’s energy system and intrinsic ability to restore and heal. It gently helps bring peace and calm, reduces pain, and balances energy flow, and has been shown to alleviate menopausal symptoms.  Since Reiki is energy, it can be received across any distance.

  •  Learn & Practice Womb Tending. Rooted in ancient wisdom and modern insight, learn self-abdominal massage, gentle pelvic floor activation, and guided visualization to support pelvic health and honor and reconnect with your womb space.

  • Be Guided through Somatic Regulation and Brain Activation Techniques. Science-backed practices that support nervous system regulation, balance mood swings, and ease cognitive fog.

  • Share in Circle. Honoring the ancient wisdom of sacred circle and council fires, an intentional space for connection, self-expression, and deep listening to ourselves and others. Our voices, presence, and sisterhood become the medicine.

Whether you choose to join us as one-time experience or an ongoing practice, we welcome you to join the Wise Blood Collective.

What is Wise Blood?

Wise Blood refers to the spiritual transformation of menstrual blood after menopause. In many Indigenous and ancient traditions, menstrual blood was seen as sacred—connected to the cycles of the moon, fertility, and the nourishment of life and land. Women’s cycles were honored as part of the natural and spiritual rhythm of the earth.

When a woman enters menopause and her bleeding stops, that blood is not viewed as lost; instead, it is retained, and with it, her creative and spiritual power turns inward. This retained blood becomes Wise Blood, symbolizing the shift from the outward flow of creation to the inward flow of vision, insight, and energetic potency.

Elder women in many cultures were seen as holders of medicine, benevolent power, and sacred knowing. They were sage counsel for any important decision. No longer creating life through the body, they move the collective forward through their presence, guidance, and wisdom.
